This workshop provides information on household lead poisoning and Radon risks and how to prevent exposure and mitigate these hazards.
Lead poisoning can occur through exposure to old household paint, drinking water, soil, and certain occupations. Participants will learn about the health effects and common sources of lead exposure and basic prevention measures to limit future exposure. Radon exposure occurs in homes because of radon gas rising through the cracks and gaps from your foundation. Participants will learn how and when to test and mitigate for radon gas. To receive a free kit of materials, you must live in the City of Portland and your income must be at or below 80% of the Portland area median income.
This workshop will take place online via Zoom. Once registered, a zoom link will be shared with you.
