Join NowAs part of an effort to improve energy efficiency for Portland households, the Energy Friendly Homes Program provides significant workforce development for residential home performance contractors in the Portland Metro area. Contractors with firsthand knowledge of and connection to PCEF priority populations, with a deep understanding of how to effectively engage with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, are encouraged to apply.

To Complete the online application, gather and submit all required documents and information.
Following the application, contractors will be contacted for an interview, and additional information may be requested, including project references.
If approved, the contractor will undergo a contractor onboarding with an Energy Specialist and Quality Assurance Provider.
We will review your application and set up an interview to better understand your business, qualifications, and what support may be needed prior to onboarding.

Three Projects and Evaluation With Energy Specialist
Full Participating Contractor
During the onboarding period, we will schedule meetings and trainings with you. You will meet your program support team (Client Navigators, Quality Assurance Providers, Energy Specialists, Project Coordinators) and get set-up in our systems, including Snugg Pro. Our Energy Specialists will also support and provide feedback on your first three home upgrades with the program. Once completed, you will be a full participating contractor and assigned project leads.
